Witch Doctor Premieres New YouTube Series For BattleBots FaceOffs

Team Witch Doctor is back in the BattleBox! In our latest Pit Pass episode, we take you behind the scenes as Witch Doctor gears up for the brand-new BattleBots FaceOffs tournament in Las Vegas. With a fresh build, bold upgrades, and a milestone moment in our career, this weekend is one for the record books. Pit Pass is presented by FingerTech Robotics!


A New Tournament

BattleBots FaceOffs isn’t the massive, weeks-long filming schedule fans know from the TV series. Instead, it’s a round-robin format featuring just four teams each weekend. That means three fights in three days — against Doom, Taco Tuesday, and Magnitude. Every match is high-stakes, with less time to recover and repair. But the energy in the pits is higher than ever. Being only a few feet from other teams gives the event a more personal, open feel that reminds us of the grassroots robot competitions where Witch Doctor began.


What’s New on Witch Doctor?

This weekend also marks something incredibly special: Witch Doctor’s 50th official BattleBots fight. For FaceOffs, we brought a budget build, crafted mostly from spare parts. Unlike recent seasons where we prepared two full robots, this time we arrived with one fully functional Witch Doctor plus spares for repairs. That doesn’t mean we're not trying some new things:

  • Brushless Self-Righting System: We’re testing a rugged new setup, pushing closer to a fully brushless Witch Doctor.

  • New Forks: Never our favorite, but necessary for staying competitive! This was the perfect time to experiment.

  • New Artwork: Thanks to artist Graven Ravenwolf of Digital Warpaint, Witch Doctor’s iconic ribs got a fresh design for this milestone.
